What we offer
The essentials for every step of an entrepreneur’s journey
Access to Capital
Measured Access is devoted to economic development by fostering multi-generational wealth through technology and entrepreneurship. This initiative is resolute in offering opportunities to minority entrepreneurs who have been traditionally excluded from essential resources and funding. Recognizing the pivotal role of capital in the genesis and growth of minority-led businesses, Measured Access pledges to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary human, social, and financial capital to thrive and succeed.
Networking & Mentorship
We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant network of entrepreneurs united in their pursuit of excellence through collaboration and mutual support. Central to our mission is cultivating strong mentorship relationships, leveraging the wisdom and experience of seasoned professionals to guide and inspire our community members. This focus on mentorship and opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and support creates an empowering ecosystem where entrepreneurs can thrive together.
Sustainable Economic Growth
By empowering entrepreneurs, we play a crucial role in nurturing individual business success and driving broader economic progress, particularly through job creation and workforce development. As these entrepreneurs grow their businesses, they generate new employment opportunities, contributing to a reduction in unemployment and bolstering the overall job market. Additionally, as these businesses develop, there's a corresponding need for a skilled workforce, which fosters workforce development. This includes both the upskilling of existing employees and the creation of opportunities for new talent to enter the workforce, equipped with relevant skills. Thus, our support for entrepreneurs extends beyond individual success; it catalyzes a chain reaction of employment growth and skill enhancement across the economy.

Measured Capital
Measured Capital is an early-stage venture capital fund specializing in investing in innovative companies beyond major tech hubs, particularly in the Southeast United States. We focus on transformative companies that are redefining how we live, work, and retire. We target pre-seed, seed, and Series A rounds, with an average check size of $250k to $750k. We offer more than just capital; our hands-on, data-driven approach allows us to actively engage with the founders we invest in, providing them with valuable insights, mentorship, and access to our expansive network. This targeted approach ensures that we not only fuel their company growth but also contribute significantly to their strategic and operational development.
Black Founder Fellowship
The Measured Access Black Founder Fellowship addresses a significant disparity in the entrepreneurial landscape, where Black entrepreneurs and other underrepresented minorities receive only a fraction of available venture capital funding, specifically around 2-3%. This program aims to counteract this imbalance by providing Black founders with critical pre-seed investments, a stage where funding can be particularly challenging to secure. Additionally, the Fellowship offers comprehensive support to help these entrepreneurs grow their companies. This support encompasses mentorship, access to networks, business development resources, and potential training in key business management and strategy areas. By focusing on both financial backing and holistic business growth support, the Black Founder Fellowship seeks to level the playing field and foster a more diverse and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Student Fellowship
The Measured Access HBCU and High School Fellowship Programs represent an innovative approach to addressing the racial disparity in the tech sector, particularly for Black students in Alabama, from K-12 to higher education. Targeting entrepreneurially minded students at Alabama's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Birmingham City Schools, these 8-week business creation initiatives offer ideation, mentorship, coaching, and funding to nurture new and existing ideas. The programs will assist students in developing marketable products or solutions and enhance skills in customer development, market analysis, and other entrepreneurial competencies.
